"The Genuine Article" from at This filly was the genuine article, one of only three who have ever won the Derby and the first to ever finish in the money in all three Triple Crown races. A rich "chestnut" chocolate dupioni silk was chosen to create a wide brim hat to honor this extraordinary athlete. Soft, wavy layers of chocolate tulle and organza add movement and length to the brim which measures nearly 26 inches from end to end. The hat is trimmed with a pleated sash of spring green taffeta lined with soft green organza. A single large green taffeta and white silk organza rose curl, framed with a medley of green and chocolate organza leaves, adorns the front of the hat. Chocolate tulle sprays and veiling add a bit of Derby magic to this stunning jewel.
